We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. If you are detail-oriented, analytical, and possess a deep knowledge of the construction industry, we want to hear from you!

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for various construction projects, including commercial, industrial, and residential developments.
  • Lead the pre construction process, working closely with clients and project teams to evaluate project scope, risks, and opportunities.
  • Manage the tendering process, including analyzing bid submissions, negotiating with subcontractors, and finalizing contracts.
  • Provide cost analysis and value engineering during both the pre construction and construction phases to ensure budget optimization.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are clearly understood and accurately reflected in estimates.
  • Coordinate with the construction management team to ensure a smooth transition from estimating to project execution.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement value engineering strategies to optimize costs and reduce project risks.
  • Review historical data, apply unit prices, and use productivity factors to establish benchmark estimates.
  • Use estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostOS) and MS Office Suite for accurate cost estimates and project documentation.
  • Track, analyze, and report on project costs, timelines, and performance to improve the accuracy of future estimates.
  • Stay informed about market trends, material costs, and industry standards to ensure estimates remain competitive and realistic.
  • Mentor junior estimators, providing guidance and expertise on best practices in cost estimation.

 

 

Requirements

Qualifications & Required Skills:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
  • Extensive experience in construction infrastructure, tender management, and cost estimation for a variety of construction projects.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure project accuracy.
  • Strong background in value engineering, risk assessment, and optimizing project costs.
  • Experience using construction estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, CostOS) and proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Project).

Skills:

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving: Ability to evaluate project scope, identify risks, and provide cost-effective solutions through value engineering.
  • Cost Estimation Expertise: Skilled in preparing detailed estimates and performing cost analysis for different types of construction projects.
  • Communication and Negotiation: Strong ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and project teams, as well as negotiate favorable contracts.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Experience in mentoring junior estimators and providing guidance on best practices in construction estimation.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in analyzing bid submissions, estimating costs, and ensuring accuracy throughout the estimating process.
  • Organizational and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
